Bio
Tim Hope is a lighting and video designer working across theatre, live events, and education. With a career spanning both education and professional productions throughout Australia. Tim is passionate about nurturing emerging talent and believes strongly in the power of theatre education. Much of his work has been with schools and youth companies, where he finds immense satisfaction in introducing student performers and crew to contemporary professional theatre practice and help them realise ambitious productions at professional production standards.
In addition to lighting, his multidisciplinary approach draws on skills in automation, illustration, animation, and cinematography. Tim is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of lighting and video design, continually exploring new technologies and techniques to enhance storytelling on stage and fostering the development of future generations of theatre-makers in Australia.
